Data Processing on Our Website
General
Your personal data will be processed if it is covered by your consent or if the data processing is permitted by legal regulations. We use the legal basis for data processing related to the execution or negotiation of a contract, consent, a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests.
We process data that we collect while operating our website and our online presences.
General Data Processing
Data processing occurs for various purposes. Typically, processing only happens when you voluntarily contact us, such as when you visit our website, engage in email communication with us, inquire about our goods and services, or subscribe to our newsletters or other information offers. We primarily use this data for the provision and further development of our services and website, for communication (e.g., responding to inquiries), for customer acquisition and retention, and for advertising and marketing (if consent has been given or if you do not oppose as an existing customer). Additionally, we may use the data, for example, to safeguard and assert our legal claims and ensure the continuation of our business operations and the security of our IT infrastructure.
We process personal data received from you or involved third parties or that we collect ourselves. For example, you or the affected individuals provide us with personal data when contacting us via email or web form or inquiring about our goods and services. If you register in person, make reservations through our website, or request informational materials or other services, we require personal information from you. This includes, for example, your name and contact details as well as information about the role of the affected person within the company or organization for which you or the respective contacts are acting or on whose behalf you or they contact us. Furthermore, we collect some personal data ourselves, such as from public registers or websites.
If you provide us with personal data through a third party (e.g., through your employees or other contacts), it is your responsibility to inform them in general terms about the processing by us or other external service providers.
We process personal data within our responsibility in Switzerland. However, we may transmit the personal data to recipients (notably our contractors, but also other third parties, authorities, etc.) who process the personal data in other countries, including those that do not provide a level of data protection comparable to Swiss law. We will do the latter based on consent or standard contractual clauses or if necessary for the fulfillment of a contract or the enforcement of legal claims.
Cookies and Tracking
We use so-called “cookies” on our website, which allow us to identify the device with which you access our website. Cookies are small data elements that a website can send to your browser to better support you with database-driven systems. However, you have the option to configure your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, automatically reject them, or only store them while you are on the website or have the browser open. Thus, you can decide whether or not to accept them. If you block cookies, certain functionalities (such as language selection, shopping cart, ordering processes) may no longer work.
For page optimization and statistical purposes, we collect so-called tracking data that provides information about user browsing behavior. Such tracking data, as we collect with Google Analytics, does not allow any conclusions to be drawn about individual users. No individuals can be identified based on this data.
Our websites use Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Inc. or Google Ireland Limited at google.com. Google Analytics uses cookies that allow for a (non-personal) analysis of your use of our websites. Google Analytics is configured so that your IP address is shortened by Google within Europe prior to any transfer to the USA, and all features that would enable identification through a potentially existing Google account are disabled.
Based on our configuration of Google Analytics, we assume that the information we share with Google is not personal data for Google. However, we cannot exclude the possibility that Google may draw conclusions about the identity of visitors from this data for its purposes, create personal profiles, and link this data with the Google accounts of those individuals. If you have a Google account, you can be identified by Google. The processing of your personal data by Google then occurs under Google’s responsibility according to Google’s privacy provisions.
You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website by Google, as well as the processing of this data by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link tools.google.com. Further information can be found at tools.google.com and at google.com with general information about Google Analytics and data protection. The data will be stored for 26 months and then automatically and irretrievably deleted.
Google Maps
Our website integrates map material from the service Google Maps provided by Google Ireland Limited. When using Google Maps, Google processes and uses data about users’ usage of the map material. This can include, in particular, IP addresses and – depending on users’ browser settings – also location data. The setting of Google Maps cookies can also be rejected or allowed at any time in the cookie settings. Google may also process this data for its own purposes (e.g., for marketing and market research purposes and to manage its platforms) and acts as a data controller in this regard. Therefore, please consult Google’s privacy policy at https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.
Social Media Platforms
We operate on social networks and other third-party platforms with references on our website. Through these platforms, we receive data from you (e.g., when you communicate with us or comment on our content) and from the platforms (e.g., statistics). The platform providers can analyze your usage and process this data together with other data they hold about you. They also process this data for their own purposes (e.g., for marketing and market research purposes and to manage their platforms) and act as independent controllers for this purpose. Therefore, please consult the privacy policies of the respective platforms:

Instagram
LinkedIn
Contact Form
If you send us inquiries via a contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact information you provided there and your IP address, will be stored by us for processing the inquiry and in case of follow-up questions.
Retention Period
We store personal data only as long as necessary to process services and contracts, to comply with a legal retention and documentation obligation, to fulfill a predominant private or public interest, or if the storage is purely technical (e.g., in the case of backups or archival systems). If there are no legal or contractual obligations or technical reasons to the contrary, we generally delete or anonymize your data after the retention or processing period.
Your Rights
You have the right to access your stored personal data and the purpose of the data processing, the right to rectification, and the right to deletion or restriction of processing of your personal data, the right to object to the processing, the right to seek a legal remedy before a competent supervisory authority, and the right to data transmission/transferability. For all inquiries regarding your rights or other questions, you can contact us via email at info@imt-medical.com or send us a letter to our postal address.
Additionally, where applicable, there is a right to lodge a complaint with the data protection supervisory authority at your place of residence, workplace, or the location where the alleged data protection violation occurred. The competent data protection authority in Switzerland is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (http://www.edoeb.admin.ch).
In case of doubt, we reserve the right to request proof of your identity for inquiries.
Please note that conditions and exceptions apply to these rights. To the extent legally permissible or necessary, we may refuse requests to exercise these rights. Thus, we may be required to retain or further process personal data despite a request for deletion or restriction of processing due to legal obligations under our statutory or contractual retention obligations.
You can revoke any consent granted for processing personal data at any time. Please note that the revocation will only take effect in the future. Data processing that occurred before the revocation is not affected.
Changes
We reserve the right to change the content of this data protection statement at any time and without prior notice. It is therefore recommended to consult our privacy policy regularly on our website.
